“No one shall go hungry! No one shall be cold!”~ The Winter Aid poster
Visuals
The Nazis used posters, pictures, art, flags, banners, badges, uniforms, skits, cartoons, pamphlets, brochures, and calendars for visual propaganda (University of Michigan). One example of a cartoon the Nazis used was a picture of a Jew being crushed by a Nazi sign. "Five Omaha residents Saturday reported receiving German propaganda leaflets from Norwegian cities." "The leaflets were entitled 'Hitler's Appeal to the German People to Repel Polish Terrorization', 'Germany's Proposals for a Peaceful Settlement Refused by Poland', and 'Molotov on the Soviet Pact with Germany.'" (Des Moines Sunday Register).
"These posters inform us a great deal about Nazi thinking
in the ways in which they presented images to the public."
